Outer 1883 Musselburgh to Cumnock with 1881 Penny Lilac die II (16 dots) tied by Musselburgh duplex handstamp number 263 with 2 thick bars with inner ends of both bars shaed to circle ring dated NO 26 83 code C. Backstamped Cumnock NO 27 83 code A in small thimble type. Fresh item with some nice cancels -
Piece only (no address) 1857 with 1d red Star (TL corner cut away) tied by horizontal oval with "16" in diamond (Chigwell Victoria St) HO London thimble datestamp OC-12-1857 in blue (evening duty) and Edinburgh arrival stamp. A real shame the user cut away the address portion of the cover, as it is interesting usage -
