A massive hoard of WA SG172 – 1905-12 2d Yellow swan overprinted “ONE PENNY” from an old suitcase full of early 20th Century issues. 194 singles with sideways watermark, plus 6 pairs, 1 strip of 3 plus 1 on piece, then 6 perfins including 1 perf “OS” and “GD Co” inverted not fully perforated. Finally, 28 copies with watermark upright. The part I love about this issue is that the watermark is either sideways 90deg clockwise, 90deg anticlockwise, or upright, so much more breadth to study when you consider overprint positioning and shade varieties as well.
